Looking for voluntary work as part of a friendly and supportive team?

There may be an opportunity for you on Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday between 10 am and 2 pm

Drop in to the cafe, Telephone on 024 7622 0299 or email: [email protected] during these times if you want to chat to someone and find out more.

You could be helping to set up the café for the day by making sure there is sufficient crockery, glasses and cutlery available, and making sure there are jugs of milk and water in the fridge.

You may need to take orders from customers and answer any queries the customer may have. You may need to serve the customer and then receive payment afterwards and give change if necessary. You will need to clear the tables afterwards and take dirty dishes to the kitchen.

If you are working in the kitchen you may have to wash or dry up, and also fill and empty the dishwasher. Crockery and cutlery will need to be put away afterwards.

What skills and interests are required and what could I gain from being involved?

We are looking for committed volunteers with good people and communication skills, and an interest in catering.

You should take pride in your personal appearance.

You would gain confidence from serving and dealing with people in a friendly and supportive environment, and the experience of working in a team.
